Held every year near on or near Independence Day. This year the date is July 3, 2026 and is hosted by St. Matthews Baptist Church. This community-wide, professionally-timed footrace annually boasts over 700 runners and weaves through the neighborhoods of St. Matthews.
With a kids fun run, a fan-favorite costume contest, numerous exhibiting vendors, and an unparalleled number of door prizes, the feel-good Independence Day 5K supports St. MAM and our partner Love 40207.
New this year: all finishing participants will receive a medal!
Lace up your running shoes and come on out! Walkers and runners all welcome.

This is the best ministry in Louisville. They answer the phone and provide services needed in our community. The food bank is not just a meal or two, it's fresh produce, dairy, meat, baked goods, shelf stable items and toiletries. They assist in rent, water and electricity help. If you need help please use them. They are an amazing resource. If you dont need them donate. I used them for 3 years, I'm now on my feet and donate every chance I get.
